IT Commercial and Marketing Business Relationship Manager (BRM)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Commercial and Marketing Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to join our dynamic team at Highline Warren. As the IT Commercial and Marketing BRM, you will act as a strategic partner between the IT department and the commercial sales and marketing functions, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives and drive operational excellence. Your focus will include commercial sales and marketing processes and technologies that span across integrated brand marketing, digital ecommerce, category management, pricing, commercial sales operations and customer service operations. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and IT, fostering collaboration, and delivering effective technology solutions that support and optimize our commercial and marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the commercial and marketing functions Understand their business needs, goals, and challenges and translate them into technology opportunities.
  2. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with commercial and marketing leaders to develop an IT strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy and supports commercial and marketing initiatives. Identify opportunities for process improvements and leverage technology to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness. Create and maintain a 3-year technology roadmap that aligns business capability gaps and current technology health to future technology investments.
  3. Demand Management: Partner with commercial and marketing leadership to create and maintain a prioritized portfolio of technology projects that have a well-defined scope and business case that provides a maximum return on investment.
  4. Solution Design and Evaluation: Collaborate with the IT team to design and evaluate technology solutions that address the identified business needs and requirements. Ensure that solutions are aligned with industry best practices, scalability, security, and compliance standards.
  5. Service Management: Partners with internal IT and commercial and marketing leadership to manage service level expectations, ensure service delivery and improve service delivery performance.
  6. Governance: Represent the commercial and marketing leadership in internal IT processes requiring business signoff or approvals. Ensure internal IT teams are meeting defined service level agreements (SLA’s).
  7. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate technology solutions, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships. Stay updated with market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices related to commercial and marketing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Relationship Manager or similar role, preferably within the commercial and marketing domain.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and marketing processes, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent understanding of Solution Delivery LifeCycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Demonstrated ability to gather high-level requirements, conduct process analysis, and design technology solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
