With 20 manufacturing and distribution locations and nearly 1,800 employees, Highline Warren carries over 26,000 products for its more than 14,000 customers across North America.

Overview of Role

We are seeking students currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the training and development functions within our organization. This role will provide exposure to various aspects of training and employee development, including designing training materials, facilitating sessions, and managing learning management systems (LMS). The intern will report to the Director of Training and Development and work closely with various departments to support onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance training initiatives.

Location: Memphis, TN at company corporate headquarters

Type: Onsite

Duration: May 2025 to August 2025

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

Training Program Development:

  • Assist in designing training materials, such as presentations, manuals, and e-learning modules tailored to different departments.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) from each area to develop role-specific training content.
  • Help create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other instructional documentation.

Facilitation Support and Coordination:

  • Support the coordination of training sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with participants.
  • Assist in facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions, possibly co-leading portions of the training.
  • Manage attendance tracking, pre- and post-assessments, and feedback collection.

Onboarding Support:

  • Help develop and enhance onboarding programs for new hires in distribution, manufacturing, sales, and corporate roles.
  • Create welcome kits, onboarding schedules, and introductory training modules.
  • Assist in delivering onboarding sessions and providing follow-up support.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating the LMS with new courses, user enrollments, and tracking progress.
  • Troubleshoot LMS-related issues and provide support to employees navigating the platform.
  • Analyze LMS data to report on course completions, engagement levels, and areas needing attention.

Employee Engagement and Communication:

  • Develop and distribute internal newsletters or updates regarding available training opportunities.
  • Create engaging content such as infographics or videos to promote training initiatives.
  • Organize and support employee development programs like lunch-and-learns or cross-departmental knowledge sharing sessions.

Evaluation and Feedback:

  • Collect and analyze feedback from training participants to evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
  • Assist in the creation of reports summarizing training outcomes, including participation rates and knowledge retention.
  • Recommend improvements to training programs based on feedback and evaluation results.

Project Support:

  • Participate in special projects related to process improvements, employee development, or change management.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the implementation of new tools, processes, or systems within the company.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, instructional design, education, or related field
