Overview of role

As a Data Analyst intern, you will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and engineering. You will support the development and management of data products, participate in sprint planning, and help improve technical solutions. Key responsibilities include managing product roadmaps, gathering user feedback, and maintaining documentation. This role is ideal for students looking to enhance their skills in data management and agile practices.

Location: Memphis, Tennessee at company corporate headquarters

Type: Hybrid

Duration: May 2025 to August 2025

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical product roadmap, and backlog – features, user stories, bugs
  • Collect user feedback, and usage analytics to further improve the technical product
  • Prioritize features with business partners, and communicate to the development team
  • Lead sprint planning, and write stories for the development team
  • Participate in testing activities, write test scripts, and perform testing as needed
  • Own documentation – user guides, data definitions, process maps, data maps, etc. that make up the technical product
  • Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering user questions

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, engineering, or related field
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, able to comprehend ambiguous requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of the stakeholders
  • Able to multi-task, and willing to wear multiple hats as needed
  • Experience of Jira, relational databases, SQL, Python, and BI & Analytics tools preferred
