Manager, Warehouse

Department: Operations-SHIPPING
Location: Dallas, TX

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of a fast-paced pick/pack warehouse. The ideal candidate is driven to achieve efficient and economical storage, handling, and distribution activities in compliance with established organizational objectives. To develop and implement a planned flow from receipt of product to shipping to the end user.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ability to leverage data and data analysis to ensure the efficient profitability of the warehouse.
  • Comprehensive knowledge, as well as the experience of running a profit and loss center, with an emphasis on labor management and cost controls.
  • Ability to manipulate data in excel and other software tools.
  • Ability to lead and hold accountable teams of people to achieve the corporate objectives.
  • Participate in any audits, internal or external, as required by providing relevant information about warehousing processes, practices, or data.
  • Perform routine supervisor responsibilities including, but limited to hiring, training, developing, scheduling, coaching, promoting and terminating.
  • Have the drive and determination to operate a face paced pick and pack environment.
  • Ability to adapt appropriately to competing demands and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with business partners, warehouse associates and management.
  • Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse mission in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Takes an active role in warehouse improvement projects and the change management process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of facility management and building security systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or other related field
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or similar environment
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Access
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office specifically Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results and Outlook to communicate internally and externally
