Shipping Lead

$1000 Sign On Bonus

Salary range - $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience

Location: Elkton, MD

Highline Warren is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Shipping Lead. The Shipping Lead will be responsible for leading all day-to day operations in the Shipping area. Responsible for providing leadership to the warehouse associates as they perform distribution related duties. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for leading all aspects of the shipping area
• Oversee day to day shipping activities, including order processing, packaging, and shipment preparation
• Organize and direct workflow for the shipping team
• Assist the Operations Manager in promoting and facilitating a safe work environment for all employees and take appropriate action to correct unsafe acts and processes
• Move materials within warehouse and assist in other distribution activities as directed by management
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and achieving accuracy metrics
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management
• Proficiency in using shipping software and systems (WMS)
• OT and weekend hours as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of distribution experience and 2 years of experience in a Warehouse Lead position a Plus
• Knowledge of shipping protocols
• Ability to operate an Electric Pallet Jack, Stand-up and Sit-down Forklifts
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic Computer Skills
