Director, Data & Analytics
Highline Warren (HW) IT is looking for a Director of Analytics to join the Data Analytics & Management team. This role will report to VP of Enterprise Applications and Analytics, and will lead the Analytics function that covers Data Warehouse, BI & Analytics, and Data Science.
Ideal candidate would be someone with a strong experience of modern cloud-based data & analytics, demonstrated delivery of data science initiatives with tangible cost savings/incremental revenue, and a product mindset. Responsibilities
Execute the HW Analytics Strategy that includes building a modern Unified Data Warehouse, expanded Self-Service, and Data Science capabilities.
Work with IT BRMs, HW executive leadership, and functional leadership to identify enterprise analytics use cases, then prioritize, scope, and deliver.
Run the Analytics team as a modern software engineering team with a focus on speed to market and tangible business value generation.
Build, lead, mentor, and coach the team members.
Build and lead the Analytics community within HW that includes IT and Business, with the goal of building a data-driven enterprise.
Create documentation, process maps, presentations, and architecture diagrams to decipher enterprise complexity and drive for cross-functional alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, BI & Analytics, and/or Data Science
3 years of experience leading people and building high performing teams
Experience of delivering impactful projects/initiatives
Cloud ecosystem experience (Azure, AWS, and/or Google)
Coding language experience (Python, and SQL)
BI tools experience (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and/or Qlik Sense)
Experience of Jira, and Confluence, or similar tools
Experience of Agile development, TDD, CI/CD, and release management
Experience of project planning, estimation, and work tracking
Attention to detail and excellent communication/presentation skills
Leader and doer who is business outcome focused with a high sense of urgency
Self-starter with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of leading and building data science team
Modern Data Stack experience (Snowflake, Synpase, Databricks, Redshift, DBT, and/or Airflow)
AI/ML tools, and technologies (SageMaker, Azure ML, etc.)
Domain experience of Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain, Marketing, and/or Finance
