The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Plant Manager with the day-to-day operations of assigned plant. This person will assist in organizing and scheduling daily workflow, ensuring all recommended safety guidelines are observed by identify safety issue. In addition, this person will use previous Team Development training knowledge and superior communication abilities to assist with the safety training of employees.
To Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
- Supervisor plans, organizes, daily activities of the assigned plant.
- Possess mechanical / process aptitude to evaluate equipment / processes and engage maintenance for corrections, as necessary.
- Experience with cost control for direct labor, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Keen understanding of yield rates and methods for minimizing waste.
- Experience in utilizing temporary labor to support short-term increases in production volumes.
- Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
- Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.
- Recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems.
- Pay attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
- Supervise team members in a manner that enables growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement.
- Use independent judgment to ensure that team members follow company policy and maintain a safe work environment by encouraging safe practices and promptly resolving violations, including initiating, or recommending rewards and discipline as needed.
- Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
- Work additional hours and/or days as needed, particularly during high volume periods, to ensure that production objectives are accomplished.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a direct line supervisor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple production lines preferred.
- Liquid batching/blending and bottling experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
